About Tecla Sanders

My name is Tecla Sanders. I am a passionate pursuer of God’s heart. I put my trust in the Bible. My desire is to live a life worthy of God’s calling, and to teach others to do the same. I am married to Howard Sanders. He’s the Lead Pastor of Become Church in Kennesaw, Georgia. He’s a God-fearing visionary, and my best friend in ministry. I’m his ‘Good Thing’. I know because he tells me everyday. We have 4 amazing kids who each reflect Gods unique gifts to us. I agree that as we have raised our children, I can’t help but think they’ve raised us a little bit, too!

My husband and I started Bethany Community Outreach Ministries in 2005 also known as Become Church! Of which, I have enjoyed every moment of the journey since. The pace has been intense, while we have witnessed such an amazing impact in people's lives over a minimal amount of time. We believe Become Church has been birthed for people who are "un-churched", "de-churched" or disconnected from Christ and the church for whatever reason. My daily encouragment is: To God and thyself always be true- quick to forgive and release others that I may be free to receive God's forgiveness over my own life.

I love challenging myself to try new things….I am a team player who loves people, so engaging others around a similar goal or purpose makes my "baby jump".  That’s a good thing, since I am in the ministry.  I am intentional more than a spontaneous.  Although I am technical in nature, I am also an out-of-the-box type of thinker who loves to create and design new things.  In essence, my life is sweet, rewarding, and full of God's favor!
